A product of City's youth setup, Cashley actually began life as a full back.

He became the club's number one keeper in the early 70s, helping the club reach the top flight famously in 1976.

However, he lost his place to John Shaw and only featured fleetingly after that.

Cashley's most famous moment came on September 18th 1973 when his long clearance caught a gust of wind and bounced over the Hull City keeper to remarkably score.

Cashley also spent time with Clevedon Town, Bristol Rovers, Trowbridge Town, Chester City and Weston-super-Mare before retiring.
