Experienced left-back who spent eight years at Ashton Gate, having arrived from Wycombe Wanderers for just £150,000.

Bell was deadly from free kicks and penalties, helping boost his goal tally for a defender.

He was a promotion winner under John Ward in 1997/98 and lifted the LDV Vans Trophy in 2003 thanks to a 2-0 victory over Carlisle United in Cardiff.

The Geordie was voted into the PFA Team of the Year four times during his time in BS3.

Bell left the club in 2005, spending short spells at Port Vale and Cheltenham Town.

Laterly Bell has managed locally with Clevedon Town and Weston-super-Mare.
