Londoner Robert Kellard moved to Ashton Gate in 1968 from Portsmouth for a fee of £30,000.
Eight goals in 84 appearances for the club over two seasons followed, before a move to Portsmouth for £50,000.
Midfielder Kellard represented England at youth level and played for a host of clubs in his lengthy career, including Southend United, Crystal Palace, Ipswich Town and Leicester City. He also spent time at Cape Town City.
Kellard moved to Spain in 2004, after spending time in his retirement as a taxi driver and antiques dealer.
