City completed the signing of attacking midfielder Kasey Palmer from Chelsea in July 2019, after his season on loan in BS3 the season before.

Palmer spent the first half of the 2018/19 campaign on loan at Blackburn Rovers where he scored three goals in 17 appearances.

Already accustomed to Sky Bet Championship football, he helped Huddersfield Town win promotion to the Premier League in 2016/17, going on to make four appearances in the top flight with the Terriers on loan last season.

He would go on to feature for Derby County on loan before his temporary switch to Ewood Park.

Palmer is also a double-winning FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League winner with Chelsea. He also won the Under-21 Premier League in 2014.

In the 2019/20 campaign, Palmer featured 27 times, scoring once. 

The attacking midfielder was loaned out to Swansea City for the first half of the 2020/21 season, before being recalled in January. 

Since joining the club, Palmer has made 78 appearances tallying 15 goal contributions (eight goals, seven assists).
