- 06 December 1990
Jack Hunt put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Ashton Gate in the 2018 summer transfer window.
He completed his move from Sheffield Wednesday, for an undisclosed fee.
Having advanced through the Academy system at Huddersfield Town, Hunt had two temporary spells on loan at Grays Athletic and Chesterfield, before breaking into the Terriers first team.
Named in the PFA League One Team of the Year in 2011/12, Hunt played a pivotal role in the club’s promotion to the Championship, where his performances captured the attention of Crystal Palace.
An ankle injury hindered his Premier League career and upon return to fitness, he had successive loan spells with Barnsley, Nottingham Forest, Rotherham United and Sheffield Wednesday.
After impressing during a brief time at Hillsborough – where he made his debut against City - Hunt completed a permanent switch to the Owls in 2016 and had gone on to make 68 appearances.
Hunt has more than 350 appearances - a feat achieved in October 2019 - in a career predominantly spent in the second tier of English football. In total, the right-back made 37 appearances during the 2019/20 season, grabbing five assists and scoring one goal.
