Bristol City Women’s Ebony Salmon scored the winner against Belgium as England Women Under-19s finished their European Championships with a 1-0 victory.
Rehanne Skinner’s side went into Monday’s final Group B match unable to make the semi-finals following narrow defeats by Germany (2-1) and holders Spain (1-0).
There were six new faces in the Young Lionesses’ starting eleven which included City Women’s, Ella Rutherford and Ebony Salmon.
Salmon gave a glimpse of what Bristol City fans can expect as she’s grabbed the only goal of the game with a fine solo effort. The forward burst down the left wing, before cutting inside Sari Kees and firing into the net midway through the first half.
Spain, Germany, France and Netherlands all advanced to the semi-finals of the competition.
