Yana Daniëls is a Robin

Yana Daniëls returns to Bristol City Women ahead of the 2019/20 Barclays FA Women’s Super League season.

The 27-year-old forward has made forty-four appearances for Belgium, scoring seven goals and returns to the SGS College Stoke Gifford Stadium after a completing a season at Liverpool.

Daniëls spoke of her excitement to be back ‘home’ at Bristol City and she looks forward to working closely with manager, Tanya Oxtoby.

“I just love the club, it was the first club that I came to in England and straight away I felt like I was at home and it’s a great environment where you feel part of a family, said Daniels.

“I’m also really looking forward to working with Tanya. The team did well last year and I spoke with Julie Biesmans, and she said Tanya had a clear vision for the club as a player you know what she wants from you which is really important if you’re going to be successful on the pitch.

“It was a big decision to come back, but you tell the club has made big steps through the results on the pitch as well as becoming closer with the men’s team which is a great for the club and women’s football.“

Bristol City Manager, Tanya Oxtoby, said: “It’s great to welcome Yana back to the club.

“We have been working very hard over the last 6 months looking at our attacking recruitment options, and with Yana’s proven talent and ability at this level, along with her understanding of what Bristol is all about, it was a no brainer to welcome her back to the club.

“Her creativity in the front third and ability to make things happen is exactly what we were looking for to build on the great work we did last year”

“Having played some of her best football at Bristol, we are looking forward to welcoming her back into our environment, with familiar faces around her and Im excited to see how she develops throughout the season.”
