Wynne suffers ACL tear in training

Bristol City Women can confirm that Megan Wynne has sustained a tear to her anterior cruciate ligament during a collision in pre-season training.

Wynne, who signed a permanent deal with the Robins this summer, will require surgery and rehabilitation.

City Women Manager Tanya Oxtoby said: โ€œMeg has made an impact since joining us and is a popular member of the squad, both with her team-mates, staff and supporters.

โ€œWe are naturally very disappointed for her as she has shown great signs of progression during the her time with us last season and we were excited about how much further she could develop this season.

โ€œMeg is a strong and positive person and I have no doubt she will come back from this, and as a group we will make sure we support her through this difficult time.โ€

Bristol City Women will support Megan every step of the way through her surgery and rehabilitation process.
