Derrick Williams has likened tonight’s trip to Bradford City to a “cup final”.
The defender knows the significance of the game in West Yorkshire, with City just a three-point haul away from securing promotion back to the Sky Bet Championship.
“Everyone can’t wait for this game – it’s a cup final and that’s the way we’ll treat it,” Williams told Bristol City Player.
“We know it’ll be a tough game on a poor pitch, but we’ll look to deal with that on the night.
“They’ve got some big players, like (James) Hanson, and second balls will be key.
“It’s in our own hands and we’ve worked all season to get into that position. We’ll go there and work hard like we usually do.
“As long as we play our game then we’ll be okay, as we’ve shown already this season.”
City could actually win promotion without winning, as long as their results either match or better those of Swindon Town (at Rochdale) and MK Dons (at Fleetwood Town).
