Aaron Wilbraham is looking forward to locking horns with his former boss Paul Lambert and his new Wolves team on Boxing Day.
Striker Wilbraham played under Lambert at Norwich City for 18 months from 2011, winning promotion to the Premier League.
“He’s a great manager and took me to Norwich, giving me a chance,” he told Bristol City Player HD.
“We managed to get promoted to the Premier League under his guidance. He was brilliant for me and really helped with my career.
“In my early 30s I was given the chance to experience the Premier League. He’ll have them fired up for Boxing Day, so we’ll need to be ready.”
City will be looking to get back to winning ways after three straight defeats in the Sky Bet Championship.
“We know we’re going through a bit of a bad patch,” said Wilbraham.
“We’ve got quality in the dressing room and we’re confident we can turn that around very quickly.
“We’re creating a lot of chances; we need to put those opportunities away and try to lock the opposition out at the other end.”
It’s an all-ticket match for City fans, who have until 2pm tomorrow (Friday) to purchase.
The Grand Appeal is gearing up for a bumper summer of fundraising across Bristol and the South West as it marks the 25th Anniversary of the iconic dress-down event, Wallace & Gromit’s Wrong Trousers Day.
