Last season's injuries behind him, Matty Taylor has been in fine form in 2018/19. He sits down with Well Red to talk about how hard he has worked, memories of Stoke City and fatherhood.
"Yes, I am feeling really good. There are the usual aches and pains but nothing too serious!
"I'm feeling, fit, strong and ready to play more games this season."
"I am really enjoying it this year, like I said, I feel fitter and stronger, I'm getting about the pitch more and I'm not being without the ball as much.
"I don't feel like jelly legs anymore, or hurting when I pass the ball so long may that continue."
"Yes I worked from Failand quite a bit with the physios just to make sure my body was ready to go and attack pre-season.
"Thankfully the team have got me to a good level of fitness and strength. I'll be honest, I really enjoyed pre-season."
"The cup match was a big, big game for us and for myself. I scored my first goal of the season and it kick-started a cup run, helping us go on to achieve what we did.
"Of course it is never nice to see a team relegated but we look forward to them coming down today."
"It's tiring at times! The Mrs is great with our son and takes care of him a day or two before a game so I can rest pre-match.
"It's an amazing feeling being a dad and I'm really enjoying it."
"It will be City! I am sure Santa will bring him something and he can bring it up to Ashton Gate soon!"
Don't miss the full interview inside today's Well Red programme (City v Stoke City, 3pm) which is available to buy from official sellers around the ground. Currently, due to a technical error, the AR function is not working. We are trying to resolve this as soon as possible.
