The Austrian forward sits down with Well Red to discuss his Premier League experience, life at his new club and the return of a new season.
"I’m enjoying it. Pre-season has gone well, the boys are looking good so yes I am enjoying it. There have been a few new signings too so I’ve got to know them as well but all the other boys have been great helping us to settle in and it’s been really enjoyable.
"Always with a new club you have to sing in front of your teammates, it’s not my strength to be honest but that was all good fun.
"And Marbella helped a lot because we were together 24/7 so that was good."
"Growing up as a footballer you dream of playing in the Premier League and luckily I had the chance to do just that.
"Scoring goals in that league was amazing and there are two I will never forget. One was my first Premier League goal (1-0 win v Fulham - March, 10th 2012). That was special because it was my first, a 93rd-minute winner and the other was when I scored another winner against Manchester City (3-2 - September, 28th 2013)."
"It’s what the last three or four weeks have been all about. We played two friendly games here as well but I can’t wait for that first game of the season. I’m really excited."
"All my teammates look sharp and fit. It feels good and we’ve worked hard on tactics, on the way the head coach wants us to play. I think we can have a really good season."
"I think we all want to be in the Premier League and we know it’s going to be tough but everyone starts on the same points.
"All we can do is try our best and see where we are."
