Jamie McAllister admits City will make changes for tomorrow night’s Carabao Cup first round tie with Plymouth Argyle.
The City assistant head coach confirmed the starting XI will be different to the one that took to the field for Saturday’s season opener against Barnsley, which ended in a 3-1 win.
However, McAllister insists they certainly aren’t taking the tie for granted against newly-promoted Sky Bet League One opposition.
Speaking on BCTV, McAllister said: “The Carabao Cup match is the next game and we’ll focus and prepare for it properly.
“Whether it’s a league game, a cup game, a friendly or a game of table-tennis, we want to win!
“We’ve got a good squad and we’ll make a few changes for tomorrow night, but we fully believe the team selected has enough to go out there and compete.
“It’s a very good Plymouth team; they got promoted last year and have dangerous players across the pitch, so we need to be ready for them.”
Matty Taylor (groin) remains unavailable, while Milan Djuric is edging closer to a return after being deemed not quite ready for the opener with Barnsley.
Nathan Baker is available to make his debut after serving a one-match suspension on Saturday.
McAllister reported no fresh injuries from the Barnsley victory.
