Nathan Baker says City are focused on getting back to winning ways on the road to Rotherham United this week.
The recently-promoted side are City's next test in the Sky Bet Championship, off the back of the 1-1 home draw with Aston Villa.
Baker lined up against his former side last Friday night, completing his first 90 minutes since August due to injury.
But he is now feeling fit and pleased to back in the heart of the City defence.
"Coming back from injury and to get the 90 minutes was a big bonus for me…it was nice to get the chance against a former club so I really enjoyed it.
"Their home form is pretty decent," he added, discussing the trip to Rotherham. "There are no easy games in the Championship so we go up there and we will fight for every point.
"Some games you have to fight and some you really have to grind out. We have the players with quality to push forward and I can’t see why we can’t get into the top six."
And on City's start to the 2018/19 season, after ten games played in the Sky Bet Championship, Baker said: "We’re still only a few games into the season so it’s always nice to have fresh faces around the changing rooms. It’s going really well."
