🎥 Weimann backs young guns

Andi Weimann gave a ringing endorsement of Academy products Ayman Benarous and Alex Scott after the teenagers helped the Robins to victory over Stoke City.

The 18-year-olds played their part at both ends of the pitch and contributed to the collective effort which saw City dig in for nine additional minutes at the end of a gruelling match.

Weimann, full of running as ever, told Robins TV: “The two young lads – Ayman’s on his second start and he was brilliant today. He’s not afraid to get on the ball and win us free-kicks and get us up the pitch and Alex was playing wing-back, where he has never played before, but he made it look really easy. He was comfortable on the ball as well and got us up the field.

“In the last 10 minutes our midfield was Han-Noah (Massengo), Ayman and Tyreeq, so very young, but we all stuck together and managed to see the game out.”
