Wear your Fans Shirt with pride

City players will wear the Fans Third Shirt with pride in Good Friday’s fixture against Stoke City – and they want you to wear it too!

The team will pull on the predominantly white shirt which features the names of 5,434 supporters during Friday’s Sky Bet Championship match (April 2nd, 3pm KO), live on Robins TV, as a poignant reminder of more than 12 months without our fantastic fanbase.

The shirt bears the names of those who selected the Robins 2020 Legend option as part of the 2019/20 Season Card choices following the decision to play games behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

And in a rallying call Vyner told Robins TV: “It’s amazing for fans to have something that is theirs, it’s a great shirt and it’s backed by the fans literally, so it’s great.

“We play football for the fans and it’s a big thing we’ve missed in the last 12 months. For the fans to have something to pull on with their name on is massive and for us to wear this with their names on is great for the lads in the dressing room.

“We want them to wear the shirt and feel like they’re in the stadium wearing it. It’s a big moment for them and for us to wear the shirts and feel like they’re there with us.”

The shirt will again be worn when the Robins travel to face Millwall at the Den on Saturday, May 1st (3pm KO).

Vyner and Antoine Semenyo were the first two players to try out the shirts at the new Robins High Performance Centre in the week before the match against the Potters.

Designed in conjunction with the club’s technical partner hummel, while also displaying the club’s sponsor MansionBet, the names appear horizontally in grey text on the front and back.
