🎥'We wanted to leave everything out there' - Tanner

George Tanner reflected on a debut to remember after his part in a 2-1 win against QPR.

The 21-year-old right-back played the full 90 minutes – his first ever appearance in City colours – at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium where the Robins clinched an injury-time winner courtesy of Nahki Wells after QPR had battled back from Chris Martin’s opener just before half-time.

Captain Dan Bentley was called into action on countless occasions as the hosts threw wave after wave at the City defence who held strong.

“I think it was a great performance and the lads dug really deep,” Tanner told Robins TV. “It was one of those where we had to grind it out, we got the winner at the end at it was amazing really.”

Tanner, who signed for City from Carlisle United last month, added it was a performance where he and his teammates look to “leave everything out there.”

“Nahki has done amazing at the end to get the winner, it was an unbelievable finish,” he continued. “The spirit of the team was great so we deserved to win the game in the end.”
