We Want Another Good Run - Joe Bryan

Joe Bryan is targeting another impressive league run to pull away from Bristol City's nearest rivals at the top of Sky Bet League One.

During recent cup exploits, Swindon Town took advantage of City’s lack of league action to take over top spot from Steve Cotterill’s team for the first time since September.

However, the Wiltshire club don’t play again until Monday, meaning City can at least steal a march on their local rivals when they do battle with Notts County tomorrow (3pm).

Bryan is hoping their cup progress can also translate into continued good form in the league.

“We’ve had a break from the league with the cup games and now is the time to start another run and open up a gap at the top once more,” the youngster told Bristol City Player.

“We’ve held top spot for much of the season. We want to get back up there again, but at the same time we’re calm because we know there’s still plenty of the season to go.

“You want to be top of the league and you want everyone to look at Bristol City and see the club doing well.”

Looking ahead to tomorrow afternoon’s match in BS3 – City’s first home clash of 2015, Bryan said: “Notts County are a good, solid team.

“We just need to kick on and perform to our best, getting back to scoring goals and winning games.

“We want to start the game well, especially at well. We know the fans will be behind us.”

Purchase tickets for the Notts County game by calling 0117 963 0600, online or in person from the Bristol Sport Megastore.
