‘We’ve been improving every week’ - Daniels

Yana Daniels is looking forward to league action resuming and her side trying to build on previous performances as Tottenham Hotspur travel to the West Country this Sunday.

City Women face Spurs off the back of a 1-1 draw away at Liverpool and a 2-1 victory on the road over Brighton in the FA Continental Cup and it’s not just the results that have been pleasing for the Robins, but the manner in which they have performed.

“We’ve been improving every week and that feels good. It’s not only the results, but the performances that counts as well and we’ve been working on different things and the improvement is there.

“I think Tottenham is a really important game. They have started the season quite well, so we need to make sure that everything is on point when we face them on Sunday.

“The girls are really looking forward to the game, it was cup game last week so looking forward to getting back into the competition.

“The first game of the season was at Ashton Gate and that was beautiful and I think every game we played after that has been better and better, which I think is a really nice feeling to take with us and I like being back in Bristol.

Daniels and co take the pitch with home advantage at the weekend and the Belgian forward believes that could give the Robins a vital edge over the visiting Spurs.

“It’s nice to play at home, I always find us hard to beat at home.

“We feel good on the pitch and we know what we’re doing, we’ve been working on Tottenham so we know what to expect and hopefully we get what we want.”

Bristol City Women take on Tottenham Hotspur as Barclays FA Women’s Super League action returns to the SGS College Stoke Gifford Stadium on Sunday, October 27th (3pm) and supporters can purchase tickets here.
