City skipper Aimee Palmer praised the squad for their response on the pitch as the Robins picked up their first win in four games with a 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Abi Harrison bagged a brace at the Robins HPC, which was supplemented with goals from Chloe Bull and Palmer herself to secure all three points in BS8.
Palmer scored her fourth goal of the season direct from a corner as she beautifully whipped the ball into the far corner of the net.
Speaking to Robins TV, Palmer said: “We know the last couple of games haven't been up to our standards. This week we have been working hard in training and I said at the start of the game that we owe it to ourselves with the work we put in day in, day out.
“We put in a performance and got a result, so we’re all buzzing.”
The City skipper was pleased so see how well her side started with Chloe Bull netting after just 45 seconds at the Robins HPC.
“We wanted to start well as that is something that we have not been doing and that shows the work that we have been doing in training. It was a great finish by Chloe - probably her first touch of the game and she’s put it away so credit to her,” she added.
