We Need To Rise To The Occasion - Allardyce

Sam Allardyce has warned his West Ham United players to "rise to the occasion" of facing in-form City at Ashton Gate.

The Hammers chief says he will field a full-strength side for the BBC-televised FA Cup fourth round tie as he anticipates a tough encounter.

"Bristol City are doing well at the moment in League One," he told assembled journalists at his pre-match press conference.

"Several Premier League teams have struggled against lower league opposition.

"It's all about the attitude of our players. They need to rise to the occasion.

"I don't have a problem playing my full-strength team as we've got a full week until our next league game.

"We put a lot of energy into the Everton tie, over two games, so we don't want that to be in vain. We want to win on Sunday."

James Collins and Diafra Sakho are the only injury doubts for Allardyce, while Cheikhou Kouyate is away on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Senegal.
