'We know we have something to play for' - Kalas

Tomas Kalas says City will fight for the play-offs until the last, following Saturday's 1-1 draw with Fulham.

City now have nine games remaining until the end of the regular season, and sit just one point outside the play-offs.

They are hot on the heels of Preston North End, who the Robins will go up against on the final day of the season at Ashton Gate, with fellow play-off chasers Blackburn Rovers up next on Saturday.

Kalas, voted the Sky Sports Man of the Match in Saturday's draw, said: "It always was and it always will be until the last game," in respect of what is up for grabs. "Bare in mind we play Preston [in the final game] we want to try our best to make our decisive game much earlier, so we are in the play-offs safely. If it is to come to the last game then it will, so we’ll always have something to play for."

Kalas has continued to find form since returning from injury and he has been ever present since City's trip to Leeds United las month.

It has been a stop-start campaign for the central defender but he says he is now feeling closer to his best football.

'It didn’t start well and I got injured. Then I came back but not as fit as I expected. I came back, had another problem so it’s been on and off. No matter who you are, it never helps but I’m now more than a month in full training, playing games and I feel much better on the pitch.

"Hopefully the fans and everyone can see it so I believe I can help the team achieve what we want to achieve."

City v Blackburn on Saturday (March 14th) kicks-off at 3pm at Ewood Park.
