“The win on Wednesday has given us the confidence we need heading to a big game away against Everton. We know we have to start picking up points in the league, that’s our main aim starting this weekend.
“The girls are excited about a place in the final four, we find out who we’ll be facing on Sunday, but that has now given us a push forward.”
It’s been a week of change for City after manager Tanya Oxtoby began her maternity leave with Matt Beard coming on board for the remainder of the season.
“Matt has come in and straight away he said that for the next five months we have to eat, sleep, breathe football.
“Everyone single one of us has to adhere to that, and if we do that we will give ourselves a good chance. It has shown through the intensity levels in training over the last couple of days that everyone is up for the fight.
“The work we have put in over the last couple of days, combined with the great result on Wednesday night has given us the confidence and belief that we can go away to Everton and get a result.
“There is so much hunger in the group to push ourselves over the next five months and show why we’re a Barclays FAWSL side.”
Bryson returned to fitness prior to the Christmas break following a prolonged spell on the sideline after picking up a knee injury and the full-back feels back to her best after getting valuable minutes under her belt.
“I’m feeling back to my best. Wednesday’s game showed I was eager to get myself out on the pitch for 90 minutes and give everything. That’s two full games under my belt since returning from injury and I’m so excited to keep playing with the vibe we have got going at the moment.
“Everyone is so hungry for it and we know we all have got to be pushing ourselves in everything we do, fighting for it everyday and hopefully that will allow us to pick up the points we need.”
