Willie Kirk says Bristol City Women have eight “cup finals” left following the 2-1 win over Millwall Lionesses at Stoke Gifford Stadium on Saturday.
Goals from Millie Farrow and Claire Emslie helped the Vixens extend their unbeaten run to three in the WSL2 as they target an immediate return to the top flight.
City remain three points behind league leaders Yeovil Town and with his sights firmly set on winning the division, head coach Kirk insists every remaining match will be treated as the biggest in the club’s season.
“I never really enjoyed the game (against Millwall) but I enjoyed winning and that was the most important thing,” he said.
“It was important we got the three points to kick on.
“We’re now in the countdown towards the end of the season and have eight cup finals left.”
City head to Durham next Sunday (July 17th, 12pm) before hosting London Bees the following Saturday (July 23rd, 6pm).
Season Tickets for the 2022/23 campaign are selling at a record pace, with more than 9,000 supporters already committed.
