Nigel Pearson reflected on missed opportunities to claim all three points after City provided the response the manager had demanded.
The Robins were positive in attacking Blackburn Rovers and could have had more from a dominant first half marked by Callum O’Dowda’s first goal of the season.
“I’m disappointed with the result, especially reflecting on our first-half performance and chances created,” the manager told Robins TV. “But there was a response today which is really important to recognise.”
Pearson went on to praise the fans for recognising the players’ efforts, the return of Joe Williams and Nathan Baker and an ‘unfazed’ 18-year-old Ayman Benarous on his full debut.
City are back in action at Ashton Gate on Tuesday, November 24th (7.45pm) when the Robins take on Stoke City.
