Zak Vyner has won Plymouth Argyle’s Young Player of the Year award.
Since completing a loan move to the League One outfit in January, the young defender has played a crucial role in the Pilgrims’ defence, winning eight of the 15 matches, losing just three.
Vyner also netted the winning goal at Shrewsbury Town in February, making Argyle at the time only the second team to secure maximum points at New Meadow this season.
The 20-year-old is the second City loanee to win Plymouth’s Young Player of the Year award in the past two seasons, with Arnold Garita landing the accolade in the 2016/17 campaign.
Vyner is in contention to make two more appearances for Argyle in the scheduled season. The Pilgrims make the long trip to Scunthorpe United tomorrow evening (Tuesday, May 1st) before hosting Gillingham on the final day of the season (Saturday, May 5th).
Season Tickets for the 2022/23 campaign are selling at a record pace, with more than 9,000 supporters already committed.
