Zak Vyner has completed a loan switch to Accrington Stanley.
The 19-year-old defender follows Arnold Garita in signing for a Sky Bet League Two club until January, after the Cameroonian striker joined Plymouth Argyle earlier on deadline day.
Vyner has made four appearances in the Bristol City first team, including a standout performance on his senior debut at MK Dons in February.
The Londoner, who moved to Bath at a young age, saw his start to the new season disrupted by a foot injury.
Now fit again, City head coach Lee Johnson hopes to see the youngster flourish in Lancashire.
“This will be a stern test for Zak’s development,” Johnson told bcfc.co.uk. “We’re very confident of his footballing ability and I’m sure he’ll come back even stronger from this experience.”
Accrington only missed out on automatic promotion to Bristol Rovers on goal difference last season before losing to eventual play-off winners AFC Wimbledon in the semi-finals.
John Coleman’s side have won just one of their first five league matches this term, but have already knocked Premier League neighbours Burnley out of the EFL Cup and have a trip to West Ham United’s London Stadium to look forward to in three weeks’ time.
The Matthew Bromley memorial basketball games will take place from 4pm on Saturday, May 28th at the SGS College Arena.
