Bristol City Women’s FC have signed 21 year old midfielder Chloe Arthur.
Chloe joins The Vixens after spending a successful season with Scottish Cup and League runner up team, Hibernian Ladies. Prior to this Chloe was part of the successful Celtic Youth Academy and broke into the Celtic first team aged 17.
Chloe has represented Scotland at U17s and U19s level and is now a regular in Scotland Women’s A squad and will be travelling to Sweden with Scotland Women’s A team for an international challenge match on 26th January.
Bristol City Women’s manager Willie Kirk is delighted with the signing, commenting: “I’ve followed her development for a number of years now and worked with her for a year at the Scottish FA’s National Performance Centre, so I’ve got to know her very well as a person and a footballer. She ticks all the boxes in terms of the standard of players that we want at Bristol.
“Not a session is wasted on her, regardless of it being on the pitch, in the gym or in the meeting room. She approaches everyday with the aim of improving, and her ambitions are well aligned with the club with regards to improving and progressing.
“She has really bought into the long term plan of the club and has made her decision based on this. Without a doubt, she could play in WSL1 just now, but like a lot of our players, she wants to do that with Bristol and she will play a big part in trying to get us there come November.”
Watch Chloe in action with the rest of The Vixens in their FA Cup Third Round game on 7th February at The Stoke Gifford Stadium. Ticket details for this fixture will be released shortly.
