Video: Little Happy To Be Back In Training

Bristol CIty's Mark Little is ready to put a difficult summer behind him and push himself to get back to full fitness.

The former Peterborough man has been out of action since dislocating his shoulder against Oldham Athletic in April, and has since been rehabilitating the injury.

Despite being back in training in Portugal, Little is waiting to be given the all clear before joining in with the physical contact sessions.

“The injury is really good – there’s no pain or anything like that,” he told Bristol City Player HD.

“I’m under the instruction of the surgeon who says I still need to protect it as it isn’t fully healed.

“They’re slowing me down and rightly so, but I’m able to join in with training here so it’s really good for me.”

He added: “Usually at the end of the season you can go away and do whatever you want, but I couldn’t do that this year – it wasn’t very nice.

“I had to be at the training ground for physio treatment every other day so it was a lot different for me but you can’t help injuries.”

Little has a scheduled appointment with the surgeon the day before the Yeovil Town friendly (July 30th) to see if his shoulder has completely mended.

Once given the go-ahead, the wing-back will be able to join in with all training sessions with his team-mates, which he can’t wait.

“I’ve missed the lads,” he said.

“It’s the first year I can definitely say that – I’ve missed every one of them and I'm glad to be back.

“We’ve got such a good dressing room and it shows on the pitch. I can’t say a bad word about any of them.”
