Video: It's A Club On The Up - Moore

Liam Moore is confident he is joining a club on the up after securing a four-month loan switch to Ashton Gate.

The 22-year-old defender has signed on loan from Leicester City until January 4th.

The England Under-21 international hinted he had other options, but was sold by the enthusiasm of manager Steve Cotterill and his vision for the club.

“I’ve known for a good few weeks now,” he said of City’s interest, speaking to Bristol City Player HD.

“I assessed my situation, spoke to the manager personally and made sure I made the right move.

“It’s a club on the up. The stadium is getting done at the moment and the training ground is also being developed.

“The team have been playing some really good football and I think it’s turned a lot of heads.

“When I spoke to people to say I was on my way down, they said it was a really good club playing great football, so I can’t wait to be part of it.

“It’s just about finding that balance. From what I’ve seen, it’s been very fine margins and the club have been very close to getting some good results.”

Moore is no stranger to getting results in the Sky Bet Championship, having made 30 appearances for Leicester in their 2013/14 title-winning campaign.

“I was only a young age but I did get promoted with Leicester playing a lot of the games and I understand the pressure that comes with Championship football,” he added.

“It can be very physically demanding, but you just need to be focused and determined to better yourself all the time.

“That was one of the things that sold it to me from the manager – not only does he want to bring me here to help shore up the defence and improve the team, but to improve myself too.

“I really want to do that and I feel like I could have a great working relationship with him.”
