Victory for Kalas' Czech Republic

Tomas Kalas earned Czech Republic a clean sheet as they held out to beat Slovakia 1-0 in the UEFA Nations League.

Victory was needed to secure their runner-up place in Group B1, behind winners Ukraine.

Patrik Schick grabbed the vital goal in the first half, but Kalas went close to assisting when his headed pass found Tomas Soucek who missed the target.

Callum O'Dowda was the only other City player on international duty this evening.

The pair will now return to the club as Lee Johnson's side prepare for Saturday’s trip to Leeds United in the Sky Bet Championship (November 24th, 3pm kick-off).
