Vacancy: Two BCCT Sports Lecturers

Sports Lecturer positions are available for our BTEC Level 3 in Sport - Futsal Education Programme. Bristol City Community Trust. Full Time.

 Salary: £16,500 - £20,000 (Depending on experience and qualifications).

We have two exciting opportunities to work within the education department at Bristol City Community Trust, lecturing on our male and female BTEC Level 3 Sport programmes.

We require two full time Sports Lecturers for our Post-16 BTEC Futsal and Education programme working within the Education Department.

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • To deliver a Post 16 BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (QCF) course to a group of 20 students which includes planning and marking along with reporting progress to parents and school partners.
  • To deliver engaging futsal and/or football sessions.
  • To organise, facilitate and be accountable for students representing the club on match days.
  • To facilitate and organise a work experience programme to support the student’s development.
  • To increase the number of students we develop on our programme through actively recruiting in schools, clubs and at careers events during evenings and weekends.
  • To engage with local schools, businesses and organisations to build awareness of and involvement in the programme.
  • To undertake appropriate continuing personal and professional development, including engagement in education programmes.
  • To contribute to the timely review of the programme, ensuring development and growth of the programme.

You will have:

  • A relevant teaching qualification – DTLLS or equivalent
  • An FA Level 2 in football coaching
  • Proven experience in teaching or delivery of education programmes, therefore you need to be of graduate calibre.
  • Ability to deliver dynamic and challenging lessons and sessions which inspire students and ensure they make rapid and sustained progress at all levels.
  • Ability to provide clarity, direction and inspiration of what can be achieved for Post-16 students.
  • Expect and uphold the highest standards of students in order to inspire students to work at target grade or higher.
  • You must be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • An ability to set high personal standards and work calmly and effectively in an environment characterised by high level of ambiguity and complexity.
  • Ability to communicate with staff, students and partners in a clear, concise and purposeful way to build effective relationships.

We would also like you to have:

  • An FA Level 1 in Futsal.
  • A D1 on your driving license allowing you to drive a minibus.
  • Ability to work well with a wide range of client group.
  • A keen interest in sport, futsal and football.
  • Experience of programme leadership or equivalent.
  • Experience with a range of ages and students/participants.

This position is full time (37.5 hours per week) from August 27th 2018, but candidates will be expected to put time into self-development immediately. Candidates must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
