Vacancy: Sports Business and Entrepreneurship Team Coach

Team Coach for Business and Entrepreneurship Degree Programme. Bristol City Community Trust. Part Time. Salary: £21,000 (pro rata).

We require a Team Coach for our Sports Business and Entrepreneurship Degree, supporting a team of entrepreneurs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To team coach at undergraduate level, engaging fully and creatively with our team entrepreneurs in this capacity
  • To undertake module leadership on the Sports Business and Entrepreneurship programme and/or other academic roles as required
  • To engage with local businesses and social entrepreneurship communities to build awareness of and involvement in our team entrepreneurship activities
  • To undertake appropriate continuing personal and professional development, including engagement in team coach development programmes
  • To role model the team entrepreneurship ethos to team entrepreneurs and the broader community, fully contributing to the life of the team entrepreneurship hub/office
  • To support the planning, organisation and review of a two week induction for Sports Business and Entrepreneurship programme each year
  • To contribute to the timely review of the Sports Business and Entrepreneurship programme, ensuring development and growth of the programme
  • To organise and engage in ‘the forest and back’ as well as ‘learning journeys’
  • To engage in reflection and coaching supervision as required by the role

You will have:

  • Proven experience in an entrepreneurial environment taking ideas from concept to delivery
  • Business and commercial acumen
  • Understanding of challenges faced by small and medium sized enterprises and start-up businesses
  • Experience of, and commitment to, working with learner-centred, enquiry-based and practice led pedagogy approaches
  • Experience of team coaching, participatory facilitation and/or working outside of an educational environment
  • A sound understanding of, and an ability to work creatively and effectively with teams
  • Commitment to the personal and academic development of the team entrepreneurs, as individuals and as teams
  • A strong interest in business engagement
  • An ability to set high personal standards and work calmly and effectively in an environment characterised by high level of ambiguity and complexity

We would also like you to have:

  • Relevant professional body memberships
  • Ability to work well with a wide range of client group
  • An interest in applied research and consultancy
  • Experience of module leadership or equivalent
  • Experience with a range of ages and students/participants
  • Experience within new, early stage entrepreneurial ventures

 This position is part time (19 hours per week) from August 13th 2018, but candidates will be expected to put time into self-development immediately. Candidates must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
