Vacancy: Bristol City social media executive

Calling all social media wizards…we’re on the hunt for a digital guru who can tell our story in an entertaining and engaging way.

Whether it’s celebrating a goal, recalling our fantastic history, or announcing parking restrictions at Ashton Gate on matchday, we understand the incredible power social media can have in inspiring and informing our passionate fanbase.

We are continually improving the way we talk, share our experiences and interact with our supporters across the world.

As part of our all action communications team, you’ll create engaging content in a tone of voice that is unique to Bristol City FC.   

You will be responsible for planning, scheduling and posting messages that promote the club.

This is not your run-of-the-mill job. We’re looking for a dynamic individual, with bags of creativity and an outgoing personality.

You’ll live, breathe and sleep social media, understanding trends and audiences.

And now for the technical bit.

The right candidate will:

  • Be a key member of the Bristol City media team, reporting to the Head of Communications
  • Respond and communicate with fans in line with the unique tone and narrative of Bristol City 

Your contribution to the team includes:

  • Enhance our reputation across our social platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram
  • Measure and track the success of our social media campaigns
  • Scheduling, planning and posting content across platforms
  • Day to day management of channels, working with the Bristol City communication team to ensure any potential crisis situations are flagged and questions are answered
  • Participate in the development of social strategy and provide ideas for growth opportunities
  • Monitor trends in social media to stay up to date with latest industry developments

What you need to be successful:

  • Knowledge of Adobe creative suite such as Photoshop is highly desirable
  • Experience and understanding of Bristol City FC and the EFL is desirable
  • Understand how to implement and create content across various social platforms

Salary: £20-22k DOE plus company benefits package
