Vacancy: Assistant Academy goalkeeping coach

Bristol City Academy is looking to recruit an assistant goalkeeping coach.

The successful candidate will be required to help deliver the club’s philosophy of focusing on the needs of the individual to achieve maximum potential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To work with Academy Goalkeepers, across all phases of the Academy
  • To develop each Goalkeeper alongside their individual development plan
  • Design, deliver and evaluate individual / unit specific practices for players
  • To set, monitor and develop high quality professional standards and team ethic for the players
  • To work cooperatively and maintain relationships with the players parents/guardians
  • To work closely and cooperate with all staff
  • To liaise with the scouting and recruitment department for the selection of future players
  • Attend Multidisciplinary Player Progression meetings
  • Undertaking administrative tasks related to the role, e.g. PMA and database input
  • Ensuring that Players’ welfare and safeguarding is protected at all times
  • To evaluate players from coaching sessions and matches and ensure that the relevant information is recorded fully on Performance Management Application
  • To conduct six weekly multidisciplinary player reviews

REQUIREMENTS:

  • UEFA ‘B’ Licence
  • UEFA ‘B’ GK Licence
  • Proven track record of developing goalkeepers
  • Experience of developing individual goalkeepers within an elite Academy environment
  • An understanding of the requirements to play Professional football, at all levels
  • Passion for goalkeeping development
  • Able to work as part of a team, but also lead on own initiative
  • Have empathy, be supportive and encouraging to developing others
  • Be able to tailor your approach based upon the audience
  • Have an open / growth mindset
  • Be an honest, clear communicator

Full time hours
Salary: Dependent upon experience of chosen candidate
