Bristol City Football Club is seeking to recruit new host families for the coming season.
You will need to be able to provide a welcoming environment for full time football scholars (16-18). Lodgings should provide good quality, safe accommodation with easy access/transport links to SGS WISE campus (bus route 73+77 or Parkway Station). You will need to have at least one room for the young player
The role will usually require residential accommodation from Sunday evening until Saturday morning each week during the football season (July-May) and will require the landlord/lady to provide high quality nutritional breakfasts and evening meal with occasional lunches. This can be a very rewarding role for host families, as you will have a significant impact on their lives. Essentially, we are looking for a home from home for our young players.
Further Information on the role and the application process is available from Thomas Harvey (Head of Education) email: thomas.harvey@bcfc.co.uk
Bristol City Football Club is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all accommodation providers to share this commitment. This role involves work with young people and is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Clearance through The FADBS system is required. As such this post is exempt for the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and the applicant must disclose all previous convictions including spent convictions. Two written references will also be required. Applicants will in addition need to demonstrate that the accommodation meets certain safety standards.
