University courses still available with the Community Trust

Ahead of tomorrow’s UCAS application deadline (January 15th), Bristol City Community Trust still have places available on their 2019 university courses.

Commencing in September, the courses are based at Ashton Gate, giving students the unique opportunity to further their education within a professional and inspirational learning environment.

WHAT CAN YOU STUDY?

Foundation Degree Community Football Coaching and Development

This is a two-year programme run in partnership with the University of South Wales, with the option to complete a third year, topping up to a full BSc Honours Degree.

The course provides students with the opportunity to complete a degree, whilst also gaining experience through coaching placements and opportunities as part of Bristol City Football Club.

The purpose of the course is to set students up for a career in coaching football or the wider sporting industry.

Foundation degree Sports Coaching and Development

Similar to our football specific coaching degree, this is a two-year programme run in partnership with the University of South Wales, with the option to complete a third year, topping up to a full BSc Honours Degree.

The course provides students with a unique opportunity to complete a degree, whilst also gaining experience through coaching placements and opportunities within various sports, as part of Bristol City FC and Bristol Sport.

The purpose of the course is to set students up for a career in coaching, sports development or the wider sporting industry.

Further information can be found here.

BA (Hons) Sports Business and Entrepreneurship

This is a three-year programme run in partnership with University of the West of England. Our Sports Business Entrepreneurship Programme is very much “practice led” with teamwork and entrepreneurship being central to the programme.

Students will be placed in a Team Company where they will support each other in their learning and undertake a variety of “projects” which will include real business ventures.

This is a programme that is “light” on the formal delivery of knowledge through lectures etc., but “heavy” on working in teams, self-managed learning and learning by doing.

The purpose of this course is to give students real life business experience, allowing them to graduate with not only a qualification but the experience and skills required within the industry.

Further information can be found here.

HOW TO APPLY

A Level and BTEC applicants can be accepted on each course. Should you wish to apply for either course or want to find out more, please get in touch via the contact details below:
