Under-23s to host the Hornets

City Under-23s will be looking to maintain top spot in the Professional Development League as they welcome Watford to the Optima Stadium this afternoon (Tuesday).

Joe Williams completed 45 minutes for the young Robins in last week’s 3-1 win over Swansea City and City Head Coach Dean Holden is hoping the midfielder can manage 60-75 minutes in today’s test, as he continues his return to full fitness.

The Under-23s have won eight of their 12 league matches this term and off the back of two wins, they head into the Hornets challenge full of confidence.

The fixture will kick-off at 1pm and, while the game is closed to supporters because of Covid restrictions, match updates will be available via the club’s official Twitter account.
