More than 20,000 fans packed into Ashton Gate over the weekend to cheer their teams to victory.
A thrilling 3-2 win by City was the reward on Saturday as Wes Burns fired in the winner in the third minute of added time. City have now gone unbeaten since March and are top of the League One table by five points.
Over to the SGS WISE Arena at Filton for Saturday evening as the Flyers kicked off their BBL Cup game against the Plymouth Raiders. Two periods of extra time were needed to separate the two as the Flyers sealed an epic win 93-92 against their west country rivals. Flyers then made the long trip to Manchester but showed no ill-affects as they recorded an 82-73 win to move joint top of the BBL.
Sunday saw record crowds for a British & Irish Cup game as nearly eight thousand supporters packed The Gate. They were rewarded with a rampant Bristol who ran in eight tries to beat Connacht 50-34. Olly Robinson scored a hat-trick on his competitive debut, while Chris Brooker bagged a brace on his first start for the Club.
Bristol Bears recorded a bonus point win on the road as Siva Naulago scored a stunning hat-trick on Saturday evening.
