Bristol City Community Trust will be hosting two FA Level 1 coaching courses in May and June.
Predominantly delivered at South Bristol Sports Centre, both courses are suitable for males and females aged 18-plus who are looking to take the first step to become a qualified football coach.
The FA Level 1 in Coaching Football, leading to the achievement of the 1st4sport Level 1 Award in Coaching Football qualification, provides learners with an introduction to coaching the game and working with players from under-7 to open age.
Those taking part will gain an insight into the game in England, how it’s played and how they can coach to better support the development of future players. The qualification is designed to prepare those studying to coach football within the grassroots game.
The courses will be delivered in an interactive and enjoyable style, mixing sessions of theory and practical drills, and successful candidates will receive an FA Level 1 Coaching qualification and be able to deliver fun, safe and engaging coaching sessions.
Participants will be introduced to basic game formats, key rules, and the England DNA coaching fundamentals and playing principles through completion of four mandatory components; How We Coach, How We Play, The Future Player and How We Support.
Although the courses will predominantly be delivered at South Bristol Sports Centre throughout the evenings and the occasional weekend, Ashton Gate will play host to two sessions.
The Trust’s FA Level 1 programmes are available to participants for just £150.
The coaching courses always prove popular, so for more information and to register online, click here.
