Trust students to hold Charity Ball in aide of local charities

Students from Bristol City Community Trust’s Sports Business and Entrepreneurship degree programme to hold charity ball in aide of Bristol Mind and Children’s Hospice South West.

Community Trust students - Andrew, Connor and Jessie - were inspired into hosting the event after working with the two charities earlier in the academic year.

Connor told the Trust, "Bristol Mind organised a project for us at the start of the academic year, where they provided us with an insight into the work that they do, and how much they rely on external funding.

“In addition to this, we were also fortunate enough to have had a tour of Children’s Hospice South West’s Charlton Farm facility earlier in the year. We were absolutely humbled by the invaluable work that they do.

“This first-hand insight into the work of the two organisations, combined with the practical knowledge that we gained during our studies drove our decision to host this event and support these charities.”

This black-tie event will be held at Ashton Gate’s Heineken lounge on July 19th and will include a three-course meal, complimentary wine and various entertainment.

The evening itself will be hosted by SAM FM presenter and Bristol City matchday announcer, Ian ‘Downsy’ Downs.

All proceeds of the event will be donated to the two charities.

Tables of 12 are now available for £600 per table and can be purchased here.
