Brian Tinnion has been appointed the club’s Academy Director as City says goodbye to Gary Probert.
Tinnion moves from Player Pathway Manager, with Gary Davenport taking up the Academy Manager role vacated by Probert, who leaves to explore new opportunities.
City CEO Richard Gould said: “We wish Gary Probert all the best and thank him for the nine years’ service he has given to the club and the Academy, which has developed greatly under his leadership.
“Brian’s appointment is a natural progression from his pathway manager role. His expertise in identifying and developing young talent is first class and we are looking forward to him taking the Academy even further.”
Tinnion, whose association with the club has spanned 28 years, added: “I’m really looking forward to what the Academy can achieve in developing young players. We have fantastic staff and superb facilities to support the pathway for homegrown talent to play for Bristol City and it’s an honour to be a part of it.”
