The City loans report: Pearson bags first senior goal

Sam Pearson netted his first senior goal as Bath City secured a 3-1 win away to Dulwich Hamlet this weekend.

The City loanee completed 85 minutes as the Romans extended their unbeaten run to five matches.

Meanwhile, Oxford United made it 12 games unbeaten with a 1-1 draw at Portsmouth. The U’s trailed to a Gareth Evans penalty but Matty Taylor’s header in the dying seconds rescued a worthy point.

Zak Vyner played the full 90 minutes for Aberdeen in a 3-0 victory and Torquay United also secured maximum points with a 4-2 win at second-placed Halifax.

Robbie Cundy completed the match for Gary Johnson’s outfit and Saikou Janneh provided an assist in his 72-minute run out as he continues his return to full fitness.

Max O’Leary and Cameron Pring completed 90 minutes as Shrewsbury Town and Walsall suffered respective defeats, while Joe Morrell was involved in Lincoln City’s 1-1 draw with AFC Wimbledon.

Rory Holden grabbed an assist as Walsall lost 2-1 at Swindon Town, with Louis Britton and Brad Webb also finishing on the wrong end of the scoreline.

There was delight for Jonny Smith as he netted his second goal of the campaign in the 89th-minute to earn Oldham Athletic a 2-2 draw against Northampton Town.

And Jojo Wollacott’s Forest Green Rovers moved to the top of the League Two standings after a 2-1 success at Cheltenham Town.
