The City loans report: Nurse bags first EFL goal

Your first EFL goal will always be memorable, but no more so than for George Nurse.

The City loanee raised the roof at Rodney Parade when he came off the bench and found the back of the net from 30 yards in the 94th minute to secure victory for Newport County over Carlisle United.

Sam Pearson set up a goal but ended up on the wrong side of an FA Cup defeat for Bath City, with Vince Harper and Tom Harrison completing 90 minutes in Gloucester City’s FA Cup replay.

Bradley Webb and Louis Britton both got minutes in Yate Town’s 3-0 loss to Truro City, while Lochlan Robertson kept another clean sheet in Evesham United’s 4-0 home win versus Mangotsfield United.
