The City loans report: Another O'Leary clean sheet

Keep up to date with the latest performances from the Robins players out on loan.

Max O'Leary kept a clean sheet for Shrewsbury Town - the club's eighth of the season in all competitions - in their 1-0 win home over Sunderland in League One.

The young keeper made two parried saves in the game for what would be his seventh clean sheet of the campaign at the weekend. The Shrews sit midtable.

Torquay United sit seventh in the National League after a 4-2 win over Barrow.

Loanees Robbie Cundy and Opi Edwards featured, defender Cundy playing the full 90 minutes while Edwards came off the bench for a run-out in the final 20 minutes.

The win came off the back of an FA Cup qualifier win over Boreham Wood, setting up an FA Cup first round tie with Maidstone.

In a loans update, it has been confirmed that young forward Saikou Janneh will link up with Gary Johnson's men until January.

Elsewhere, Bath City took the three points and a clean sheet with a 1-0 home win over Dorking Wanderers. Wales youth international Sam Pearson played 82 minutes at Twerton Park as he helped the Romans keep pressure on those just above them in the National League South play-off spots.

Vince Harper scored what would be a consolation goal in a bad afternoon for Gloucester City. They were beaten 5-1 in the National League North. Centre-back Harvey Smith played the first 45 minutes.

Rory Holden played 72 minutes for Walsall but couldn't prevent their 2-1 defeat to Mansfield - a fifth loss in a row in League Two - and George Nurse's Newport County slipped to a 3-1 defeat to Colchester United.
