‘The boys were brilliant’ – Fielding

Frank Fielding says the team relished the occasion at the City Ground and he is “delighted” to help the squad extend their unbeaten run.

Fielding produced fine saves to deny Jack Colback, Lewis Grabban and Yohan Benalouane as he fought to keep a clean sheet on his first appearance of the season.

“I’m delighted. There was a big atmosphere here and the boys dealt with it superbly,” he told BCTV, after City’s 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

“They (Nottingham Forest) had the build up of a new manager this week, and the boys were brilliant. It was a bonus for me to get out there and play a game.

“Their keeper had a worldie, making four of five great saves and you thought it might be one of those days, like we wouldn’t get anything out of the game. The boys were brilliant, everyone to a man and it goes to show the strength in depth we have and I’m delighted to keep the run going.”
