The partnership between Thatchers Cider and Bristol City Women continues as the iconic cidermaker is confirmed as the back of shirt sponsor for the 2021/22 season.
Thatchers Cider, the family-run cidermaker, has its home at Myrtle Farm in Sandford, just a few miles down the road from Ashton Gate. Thatchers have been making cider for four generations, and their knowledge and passion for apples is reflected in their best selling ciders – authentic, full of flavour, and a distinct character that reflects Somerset cidermaking at its best. They craft a range of ciders, including Thatchers Gold, Thatchers Haze and Thatchers Rosé, all made with the same care, attention and hands-on experience.
“Thatchers Cider have had a long-standing partnership with Bristol Sport and our clubs for many seasons now,” said Group Head of Commercial Justine Kebby. “Their iconic brand is synonymous with the region and instantly recognised and enjoyed by our supporters.”
“We’re delighted they will continue their support of City Women as they embark on a new season in the Championship.”
Martin Thatcher, Managing Director and fourth generation cidermaker, said: “Women’s football has gone from strength-to-strength in the last few years and there is a real excitement surrounding the sport.”
“As a close partner to Bristol Sport we’re delighted that Thatchers Cider will be appearing on the shirts of Bristol City Women Football Club this season and we wish them a successful campaign ahead, as they continue to inspire the local community.
“We’re all enjoying an exciting summer of sport, and what better way to do so than with a refreshing glass of cider in hand to support your team.”
