Bristol City would like to thank Jamie McAllister for his decade of commitment and service to the club as a player and a coach
Following the completion of a departure agreement, City can officially confirm that McAllister has left the club.
The former defender made 210 appearances in a six-year stint as a City player, winning promotion from League One in 2006/07 and reaching the Championship play-off final the following season.
He returned to Ashton Gate in July 2016 as Under-23s coach before joining the first team set-up in March 2017 as Assistant Head Coach.
In 153 games he helped the Robins establish themselves as a competitive Sky Bet Championship side, as well as playing an important part in the club’s 2017/18 Carabao Cup semi-final run, including the famous victory over Manchester United.
Chief Executive Mark Ashton said: “Macca gave fantastic service as a player and a coach and was part of some special moments for this club. We are all grateful for what he has done for Bristol City and we would like to wish him all the best for the future.”
Despite being reduced to 12 men in the closing stages of the match, England U20 held on to beat France 29-20 in round two of the Six Nations Summer Series.
