For a quartet of City players, Easter proved a successful time.
Gustav Engvall grabbed his first goal for Swedish loan club Djurgarden IF in their 3-0 victory over Elfsborg.
Only last week the young striker was nursing a knee injury, suffered in a goalless draw with Hacken. However, tests showed up no long-term damage, and Engvall shook off the pain to score after just two minutes against Elfsborg to open his account for his loan club.
In League Two, Arnold Garita’s loan spell at Plymouth Argyle may have been hampered somewhat by injury.
That didn’t stop the party as Garita joined his team-mates in toasting promotion from Sky Bet League Two in style yesterday, winning 6-1 against Newport County at Home Park.
Another City loanee enjoying promotion is Jake Andrews, who has now scored four times for Chippenham Town.
Andrews netted from the penalty spot to secure a 1-0 win at Frome Town for the Southern Premier Division champions, who will be playing in the National League South next season.
Finally, Shawn McCoulsky was at it again, scoring his 31st goal of the season as Bath City defeated Poole Town 3-0 at Twerton Park.
