Study at Ashton Gate in 2018/19

Bristol City Community Trust will host an education open evening at Ashton Gate on Tuesday, May 8th ahead of the 2018/19 academic year.

The club’s official charity has gone from strength to strength in recent years and now has the appropriate sport structure to enable learners to develop life skills, maximise career choices and opportunities through carefully designed qualifications, no matter what their academic or practical level.

The Trust attract and accept a variety of students on to each of their seven courses, which range from post-16 to degree level.

- Level 2 Diploma in Football in Community Settings
- Boys BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Futsal Pathway)
- Girls BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Futsal Pathway)
- LTA BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Tennis)
- Level 3 Sports Media Diploma
- Foundation Degree in Community Football Coaching and Development
- BA (Hons) Sports Business and Entrepreneurship

The open evening will commence at 7pm and includes a welcome talk from the sports lecturers, informing students and parents on how to apply for the course and the next steps.

Prospective students will also have the chance to talk to sports lecturers on a one-to-one basis, answering any questions and providing greater detail of individual courses.

Each course is delivered at Ashton Gate with professional and purpose-built facilities available. The programmes provide a unique opportunity for students to kick-start a career in the sports industry, predominantly through the contacts made, the practical aspects incorporated, and the work experience available in different departments throughout the stadium.

Once the respective courses draw to a close, a number of exit routes are available, with the most common being university, job opportunities, American scholarships, apprenticeships and employment.
